One sentence that changed his life

There was a young man "William Osler". He was a medical student at the Montreal General Hospital in Canada. He used to worry about everything. He was regretful about the mistakes he did in the past. He was worried about the wrong things he did. He was worried about the insults he got. He was worried about the losses that damaged his life.
He was worried about passing the final examination in the future. He was worried about what to do. He was worried about where to go. He was worried about how to build up a practice. He was worried about how to make a living. He was always in a depression.
He was worried about the bitter experiences that happened in the past. And he was always horribly afraid of the future. He was always worried about everything and everywhere.
In the spring of 1871, one day he went to a library and opened a book written by Thomas Carlyle. While reading the book, he found a sentence. He was attracted to that sentence. He was surprised by that sentence. He fell in love with that sentence. He felt very happy with that sentence. Daily he remembered that sentence. He applied that sentence every day in his life.
That one sentence changed his life. That one sentence helped him to grow successfully. He became the most famous physician of his generation. He organized the world-famous Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He became the most well-known Professor of Medicine at Oxford University. He was knighted by the King of England. He was described as "the Father of Modern Medicine". When he died, two huge books containing 1,466 pages were required to tell the story of his life. He became one of the greatest men in England.
Just one sentence changed his life from a failed student to one of the greatest men in England.
The one sentence that changed the life of Willian Osler is: "Our main business is not to see what lies dimly at a distance, but to do what lies clearly at hand."
Meaning of the sentence: There are some things in the past that make us sad, worried and depress. There are some things in the future that make us afraid. There are some things to be done in the present time by ourselves. Our main responsibility is not to see the bitter past and fearful future. But our main responsibility is to do the present work now that is at our hands.
Focus on doing your present work superbly now with all your dedication and concentration. Then you have no time to regret, worry, fear and depress about your past and your future. And "doing your present work superbly now" will bring you all successes one by one and make you a superhero very soon".

The Burning Desire

Once there was an explosion in a school, in America. The horrible fire caught an eight-year-old boy "Glenn Cunningham". His waist, legs, and toes were completely burnt. There was no flesh in his legs. The doctors checked his body and decided to amputate his legs. Glenn and his parents requested the doctors not to amputate. The doctors said "He will never walk again in his life. His legs are useless. They are big burdens to his body." And they left. For many months, he sat in a wheelchair. One day Glenn decided to walk from his wheelchair. But he fell down on the floor. Many times, he used to leave his wheelchair and started walking. But he fell down. He started moving on the floor. He used to drag his legs. For 2 years, there was no change in his legs. One day he was able to stand up on his feet. He used to hold walls and walk slowly. Daily he used to move and walk with the help of walls. He tried days and days to walk. Two years passed. He got some improvem...

A father's suggestion ^^

Approximately 120 years ago, a young boy "Ferenc Molnar" was studying law at Budapest University, Hungary. He was staying alone in a small room in Budapest. His parents were living in their village. His parents had lots of hopes for him. But Ferenc was not a bright student. All his friends passed the exams. But he failed. He felt ashamed. He started drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes. Every day he was thinking about his failure, his friends' success, his parents' money, and his future. His mind was full of depression. His body became powerless because of worry. One night Ferenc was drinking whiskey in his room. A cigarette was in his left hand. A glass of whiskey was in his right hand. And there were some sleeping tablets on the table. His room was filled with smoke. He laid down on a sofa in a relaxing position. He liked being alone. He found relaxation in his new habits. Suddenly the doors opened. Ferenc looked at the doors. A man was standing at the...

The Two Wolves

An old man is teaching his grandson about life. Old man: A fight is going on inside me. Grandson: Oh. what kind of fight is that? Old man: It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is a bad wolf. He is anger, jealousy, worry, depression, fear, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, and guilt. The other one is a good wolf. He is happiness, peace of mind, love, hope, courage, self-confidence. Grandson: why is this fight happening inside you? Old man: The same fight is going on inside you–and inside every other person, too. In every person's heart, this fight continues as long as he is alive. Grandson: What happens if the bad wolf wins? Old man: In your heart, If the bad wolf wins, you will always be sad and depressed. You will fail in everything. Grandson: What happens if the good wolf wins? Old man: If the good wolf wins, you will always be happy and satisfied. You will always win. You will always be successful. Grandson: So which wolf will wi...
