The burning desire of a poor woman ^^

Subhashini Mistry was a 23-year-old woman in Kolkata, India. Her husband was an agricultural worker. They had four children. Theirs was a very poor family. The income of her husband was used to feed their hungry stomachs. They had no extra income for saving.
One day her husband had severe stomach pain. so, she joined him in a government hospital. The government hospital should provide free service to patients. But the reality was the doctors and nurses paid attention only to those who gave money. They neglected subhashini's husband and he died. Her husband's illness was just a normal stomach ache which could have been cured by some medicines. But because of the cruel negligence of the doctors and nurses in the government hospital, he died.
In her severe depression, Subhashini took a strong decision about building a multi-specialty hospital for poor people. But Subhashini was very poor. All her relatives were poor. And She was uneducated. She did not have any skills. How can she build a multi-specialty hospital? How is it possible?
Successful people do not worry about "how". They believe "I can".
she decided to work. She started working as a maid in five houses. To earn more money, she did more jobs. She cooked food, cleaned floors, washed utensils, cleaned gardens, polished shoes, and concreted roofs.
She understood that she could pick vegetables freely at a nearby village, Dhapa, and sell them in Kolkata. She stopped her other jobs and started picking vegetables, selling them in the city and earning more money. After that, She bought some land in Dhapa and planted many vegetable plants. She was getting plenty of vegetables.
She set up a vegetable shop on bridge Number Four in Park Circus in central Kolkata. She started earning big amount of money. During the cauliflower season, she earned more. She opened a savings account in the post office and deposited money. She inspired her son, Ajay, to become a doctor. So, he got a medical seat in a medical college. Then she started building a small hospital with her many years of saved money. In 1992, she bought one acre of land in her husband’s village.
She gathered the villagers and requested them to help to build a small hospital. She donated her one-acre land for the hospital, and the villagers donated some money to build a shed.
Some villagers contributed to providing bamboos, palm leaves, truckloads of sand, and wooden planks. The poorest people offered their labor. Thus, a 20 x 20 feet temporary shed was constructed in 1993.
Then an auto-rickshaw fitted with a loudspeaker traveled in the villages, requesting doctors to offer their free service at the newly opened small hospital (shed) at least once a week for the poor people. Simultaneously, villagers went from door to door and requested people to donate their surplus medicines.
Doctors started coming to the small hospital and offered free service, ranging from two to four hours a week. This hospital was named "Humanity hospital". Gradually Patients and visiting doctors increased. Subhashini decided to develop the hospital. But it needed more money.
Subhashini and her son knocked on the door of the local MP (Member of Parliament), Malini Bhattacharya. At first, they were not allowed to go inside. But Subhashini did not quit. After many days of requesting, they met the MP and explained their goal. The MP visited the hospital and satisfied with the free service in the hospital. She gave a big fund to the hospital. A bigger hospital was built the next year in the place of the old shed.
With the help of MP and MLAs, Subhashini requested the governor of West Bengal to inaugurate the new hospital. The governor visited the inauguration and many news reporters followed. The hospital got so much popularity. Many political leaders, police officers, businessmen, and some rich people donated funds to humanity hospital.
Subhashini's son, Ajay, became a doctor and started serving in the hospital. Her youngest daughter became a nurse and started working there.
After 2 years, many other blocks were built in the hospital. The compound of the hospital expanded to three acres. The hospital expanded to 9,000 square feet spread over three floors. Today the hospital became a multi-specialty hospital. Many gynecologists, cardiologists, ENT specialists, urologists, oncologists, nephrologists, dermatologists, orthopedists, neurologists, ophthalmologists, and surgeons are working here. Now the hospital has expensive electrical machines, the latest instruments, and good facilities. This multi-specialty hospital is not for business. It is completely dedicated to serving poor people.
Subhashini is still living a normal life in her old house. The central government of India recognized her great humanity and grand success. In 2018, Subhashini Mistry was awarded India's fourth-highest civilian award "the Padma Shri".
When a person's heart is always burning with a desire, he can do or have whatever he wants. The entire universe will help him to get what he wants if he has a burning desire.
